Ashley Cooper, LMHC
I believe that the ability to heal lies within each of us. Together we can help you access the wisdom and strength you already possess in order to move forward from beliefs, feelings and choices that are no longer serving you. Working from a mindfulness framework, I use techniques that foster a greater sense of connection with your body, helping you to become more attuned to your experiences and authentic sense of self.
Treating individuals, couples and families, I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, & trauma. Our work together can provide a path towards deeper understanding, health and well-being. Whether it is a relationship, food, or learning to live in the present rather than in the story of your past, let’s find a way to make meaning and move forward.
I hold a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and recently completed my training in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping). I completed advanced Eating Disorder training from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy’s Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia.
Whatever your challenges, they are important, and you don’t have to face them alone. Please call (646) 661-4055, or email me using the form below for an appointment.
